After reading reviews all over the internet, I was shocked to learn that Discovering Egypt was not compatible with XP - even though MANY sellers list it as being compatible! After searching more, I came across a review on another website where the person noted that the manufacturer’s website even says it isn’t compatible with XP… so, of course, I went to the manufacturer’s website, and sure enough - IT’S NOT COMPATIBLE WITH XP. The manufacturer, “TOPICS”, even has a note on their website under “Known Issues” with Discovering Egypt that says: “This title is NOT compatible with Windows NT, 2K, and XP. (…)

You’ll notice it does NOT say it is compatible with XP anywhere on the compatibility list.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to write a review and reveal this important piece of information for all of us out there who were about to waste our money on this product. A word to the wise - just because it says it is compatible (like on this very Amazon page advertising Discovering Egypt for sale) it may NOT be compatible. So, do your homework and check on the manufacturer’s website as well as take the time to read other reviews on other websites. I know I am glad I did! Thanks to all!!!
